Thrift Media was born from a love for physical media and a desire to reduce waste. Based in Lahti, we’re passionate about rescuing forgotten formats and giving them new purpose.

We buy, sell, and showcase media in all its forms, creating a space for collectors, nostalgists, and curious newcomers.

In addition to selling, we offer rental options for most formats and players. Whether you want to relive your favorite childhood film on VHS or try out a classic vinyl album, you don’t need to commit to a purchase—just rent and enjoy. Players such as record players, VCRs, cassette decks, game consoles, and more are available for rent or sale depending on availability.

Our business model is simple and sustainable: we buy media people no longer need and offer it to those who are looking for it. Everything is tested, cleaned, and sorted by condition and type. By extending the life of obsolete media, we help reduce e-waste and bring joy to collectors and enthusiasts alike.
